Drynuary has come and gone, but if you’re still feeling the need for a winter detox (and you’re not the only one), we’re all about the juice and smoothie variety. Delicious, without the deprivation.

RED CABBAGE JUICE

Sulfur-rich red cabbage supports the liver, aiding in the detoxification process. Combined with pomegranate and blueberries, it’s an antioxidant powerhouse.

 

INGREDIENTS (serves 2) 

¼ red cabbage, chopped

½ pomegranate, deseeded (1 cup of pomegranate seeds)

1 cup frozen blueberries

2 cups coconut water

1 tablespoon (or desired amount) honey

HOW-TO

Add cabbage, pomegranate seeds, blueberries and coconut water to blender. Add desired amount of honey and then pulse blender until smooth.

RED BEET SMOOTHIE

Beets are important anti-inflammatory agents and contain compounds that support toxin elimination. Their natural sweetness is complemented by banana and raspberries to keep you full.

 

INGREDIENTS (serves 2)

1 frozen banana

2 red beet roots, peeled and thinly sliced

1 cup of frozen raspberries

2 cups of coconut water

1 tablespoon (or desired amount) of raw blue agave nectar

HOW-TO

Add banana, beets, raspberries and coconut water to blender. Add desired amount of agave nectar, pulse until smooth.
